So- Called spiritual people

Doesn’t it strike you as odd that many of the so-called spiritual people are the ones who treat their servants cruelly , dont practice any kindness at home and yet will go to swamiji lectures on how to be kind and compassionate?

The language of the birds

There is only one thing to achieve in my life, before i die.

I would like to know what the birds say to each other in the morning.

Think about it.

It Seems to me a travesty that the so called spiritual people who go to swamiji lectures on kindness, compassion , right conduct etc etc.
Are the very people who treat their servants badly, waste litres of ghee on ritual, call their servants caste names
I could go on and on but i think i have made my point.

If you wish to see God

If you really wish to see God, do not fall at the feet of the stone idol in the temple,
Instead fall at the feet of your servant.

If you really want to pray to God

If you really want to pray to God,
fall at the feet of your servant

Prayer

I went this evening to the shiva temple near my house
the aarti was going on.
The adults and elders were inside praying
They prayed for wealth and health and their welfare and their childrens’ welfare.
They prayed for tommorow and for day after tomorrow and for the day after that.
Their brows were knitted, their faces worried and none of them had a smile on their face.
Outside on a bench , a group of children played
Some were naughty, some were quiet , some were extra naughty
They pulled each others caps and they made faces at each other , one of them threw a banana peel in the air.
Another said he would pull the others’ pants down and make them nanga ( Naked)!

Each one smiled
None of them thought about tomorrow.
It was enough to play today.
When you are in front of God be like the child

what is religion

Why do you pluck flowers and throw it on God in the name of religion?
Is religion not leaving the flower where it is?
